Oberon

Oberon has been devoted to the study of Middle Eastern Dance for 13 years. This includes 10 years of performance experience in shows, restaurants, clubs, and community venues such as Rakkasah.

For the last 7 years, Oberon has co-hosted a weekly, communiy "Live Music" venue for dancers of all levels and styles with her partners, Michael Beach and Arabesque.

Oberon has been a staff writer for "The Belly Dancer Magazine" and "I-Shimy.com". She has contributed many types of articles including dancer to dancer interviews, music, DVD, Event, and Production reviews.

Aside from her own title as the 2006 Gypsy Stylist at the Double Crown, Oberon has been invited to judge at competitions in the belly dance community including the Double Crown and the IBDC.

For the last 3 years, Oberon has been committed to sharing her knowledge through teaching, coaching, and encouraging ongoing cultural and musical understanding of the dance. She is a certified instructor with the only medically-based physician-created program designed to restore movement in people of all ages through music and dance. She is also certified in CPR and first aid.
