- Day 1...Depart from your home town to rendezvous in NY. Our flight aboard an Egypt Air jumbo 747 jet leaves for Egypt at 6:30pm. Please plan to arrive at least 3 hours before take off.
- Day 2...Ah Lan wa Salan... Welcome!! Arrive about noon in Cairo. After checking into the hotel you will be whisked away to the Citadel of Salah el Din and the Mohammed Ali Mosque, for a step back in history, and a panoramic view of Cairo. While you are there an ENT rep will be registering you for your classes at the Nile Group Festival. Afterwards you will head for Khan el Kahlili to shop till you drop. If you have any ideas for a custom costume bring them with. There will be plenty of fabulous ready to buy costumes available also, plus much more!
- Day 3...After early breakfast, you will take off to see the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. You will stop at the famed Mena House for a refreshing break and lunch (on own). Continuing in the afternoon you will visit the famous Egyptian Museum of Antiquities where you will see many of the wonders of ancient Egyptian history. Return back to the hotel for a little snack... a little rest... and then... the opening Gala Show and Dinner for the Nile Group Festival.
- Day 4...Classes for the Nile Group Festival begins today at noon. You will have received your registration papers the day before to attend your selected classes. Optional tours, shopping, or private classes can be arranged during the day or evening for those who don't have classes or have traveled with a partner who is not a dancer.
- Day 5...Classes for the Nile Group Festival begins today at 10 am. Optional tours, private classes or shopping can be arranged during the day for those who don't have classes or have traveled with a partner who is not a dancer. Tonight the Nile Group Festival offers dancers the opportunity to perform to a CD or a live band. (No dinner included)
- Day 6...Classes for the Nile Group Festival begins today at 10 am. Optional tours, private classes or shopping can be arranged during the day or evening for those who don't have classes or have traveled with a partner who is not a dancer.
- Day 7...This morning you will leave the hustle and bustle of Cairo for your air flight to Aswan, where you will check onto our 1st class Nile Cruise ship and begin a relaxing adventure. Pack light. While in port there will be scheduled sightseeing of Aswan during the day.
- Day 8...Continue the Cruise with scheduled port stops and sightseeing. Your class with Leyla Amir will be schedule around sightseeing and how energetic you feel. Requested subjects for class should be submitted when you register for the tour. Exact times are flexible to accommodate the sightseeing schedule and everyone's energy level.
- Day 9...Continue the cruising with port stops for sightseeing. Tonight is the last night haffla. Bring a costume and CD (5 min. max.) and let's entertain the whole ship!
- Day 10...Continue cruise... ending in Luxor. Scheduled Luxor sightseeing ...East and West Bank. If time is available we will check out the Luxor Bazaar, before our flight back to Cairo, to check back into your hotel.
- Day 11...This is your free day. Optional sightseeing, shopping, and private classes can be arranged. Or do nothing but relax at the pool. It's been a hectic but exhilarating schedule, filled with many wonders.
- Day 12...Early morning departure for your home destination. In Egypt we say....... "Salaam alakum... Mash Allah!" ("Peace be with you and go with God").
