Satya

Stephanie was a founding member and initial Troupe Leader for the Daughters of Durga tribal dance troupe.  She performed with the Daughters of Durga at the Las Vegas Renaissance Festival in 2004 and 2005 and also for First Friday events in the downtown Art District in 2004. Since leaving the Daughters of Durga, Stephanie has performed at the Golden Nugget, Luxor and Red Rock Station Casino. Stephanie now performs under the name of Satya.

Stephanie was also a troupe performer and soloist with the Las Vegas Bellydance Divas (traditional Egyptian style). With the Divas, Stephanie has performed for the Prana Lounge, the Polynesian festival, Lake Las Vegas Resorts, CineVegas Film Festival and various charities.

As a solo artist, Stephanie has performed for the Bon Jour restaurant, Little Buddha in the Palms, Octoberfest in Green Valley and as a guest performer for the El Morocco Restaurant in Pleasant Hills, CA. Her favorite charitable performance was for the Nevada Wildlife Project.

Stephanie has studied with nationally known teachers such as Rachel Brice, Fatima Al Wahid, Margo Abdo O'dell and Heather Stants of Urban Tribal. Local Las Vegas teachers have included Belda Stack, Yashara, and long time teacher Tsikki of Israel.
