Maggie

Maggie MannersMaggie is a drummer who dances and a dancer who drums.

Maggie has been creating music since she was a young child. Her love of music has taken her on many incredible journeys. After many years as a classically trained musician, she became obsessed with drumming and it's ability to create unity. Maggie has been a music educator since 1998. She is also a facilitator of both educational and community drum circles.

Maggie has been belly dancing since the summer of 2003. She has been addicted to it ever since. After being introduced to tribal fusion belly dance at the very first Las Vegas Bellydance Intensive, she joined Whiteheart Dance Tribe. Maggie danced with Whiteheart until it disbanded when the troupe's leader moved to Washington. She then floated around trying out different teachers and different styles. She jumped at the opportunity to dance with Naimah/Hanna and she has been a member of Ethnophonica, a tribal fusion troupe, since it formed in 2005.

Maggie is also the mother of twins...plus 1!! She creates music and dances with her babies on a daily basis. Her new role in life as a mother has lead to a renewed interest in learning the best ways to nurture and grow the musician and dancer that exists within us all.
